To set off 2016, Globe Productions produced channel 4’s brand new music show - C4’s Future Sounds. The show forms an inaugural list of artists who look set to musically take the next year by storm, featuring live performances from the world famous Abbey Road Studios and hosted by Mistajam. Each week for 5 weeks two artists took to the stage to show us just why they are tipped for massive things in 2016. Each singer or band also has the added kudos of an endorsement from a huge global artist or well-known musical personality.
The hotly tipped and extremely diverse acts to be featured include Alessia Cara, Blossoms, Izzy Bizu and Loyle Carner. The other artists are Aurora –renowned for recording the soundtrack to arguably the biggest advert of the year and the incredible Bonkaz who represents the rising grime scene. Also on the line up we had Pretty Vicious, SG Lewis, Tala and Barns Courtney. The series also included some of the biggest global artists engaging in a discussion about the evolution of music genres and why these acts are our Future Sounds of 2016.
