Globe were in the spotlight for the second year running at the Music Week Sync awards last night. Capping off an incredible 12 months’ of successful campaigns, they again won the coveted Best Sync Team award. Senior director of sync licensing Adam Gardiner says, “The award for best sync team is voted for by the music supervisors, ad agencies and production companies we work day in day out so to win two years on the bounce is very satisfying. It’s testament to the hard work and effort that every single member of the team puts in across the board. We were up against some big high-profile campaigns this year but the variety of work for which we picked up individual awards speaks for itself."
Senior creative licensing manager Greg Turner took to the stage to collect Best Film Sync on behalf of the team for the appearance of Elton John’s Saturday Night’s Alright For Fighting in Kingsman: The Golden Circle.
Havas and Mercury KX/Decca Publishing were recognised for their innovative charitable collaboration, winning Best Social Media/Online Partnership. The campaign saw ‘artist’ Keynvor and their new track Preservation being unveiled as the soundtrack to beautiful footage of the ocean in collaboration with the Cornish brewery Sharp’s. All proceeds from the campaign went to conservation charity Surfers Against Sewage.
Two big wins were also celebrated last night by Caroline International, who secured the Sync of The Year award and Best TV Show Sync for their work with Gaz Coombes. The former Supergrass frontman had his 20/20 track featured in the BT Sport Champions League Final.
